Ryiah looked up as Draco entered the cave, nodding a return greeting. She stayed silent as they discussed the plan to rescue Aspen. The thought of totally emptying the forest of rebels was daunting. How would they manage to evacuate everyone? Even just hiding everyone would be difficult.
"How can I help?" She asked curiously. She had a feeling that before this was over they would need all the help they could get.

Draco nodded as Knight spoke. "I understand your concerns, Knight. But also, I think it'd be too dangerous to go without any look out. That way, if there's trouble, you won't run right into it." Draco turned to Ryiah. "I think we could find a way for you to help. If Knight says it's okay, I think you could go with me and be on look out. That way, we would have help, if we needed it." Draco spoke. He hoped Knight would let him at least go. Knight needed someone to watch out for him, even if it would put more dogs in danger.

Knight could feel the frustration bubbling up inside him and he was barely able to surpress a growl. He closed his eyes for a moment to get his emotions and thoughts back under control before he spoke again, looking up at Draco, determination burning in his eyes. "Draco, I really don't think that more dogs should come on this mission, especially you! If we get caught, the guards will kill me and then take Aspen back with them. Agro will not let his guards kill Aspen, he will want to be the one to do it. But the guards will kill whoever is with Aspen. And if you, the leader of the rebels, gets killed and they recapture Aspen then we are as good as done for. But if only I go, I can at least try and escape. I know this jungle, they don't. And then I can get help and we can launch an attack on the guards patrol before they can get Aspen back to the palace. Do you see what I am saying?" Knight pleaded, hoping that the rebel leader would understand that the more dogs that came with them, the harder it would be to get by unnoticed. And if the guards did catch them, they would take Aspen but Knight wouldn't be able to escape because he would have to make sure the other dogs that had accompanied them were safe to. And that could mean death for all of them.

Ryiah thought for a moment, what Knight was saying made a lot of sense. It was true, if Draco was killed then the resistance to Agro's rule would be torn apart. But what Draco was saying about having someone on watch made a lot of sense too....Her head was spinning in circles.
"We shouldn't argue, the enemy is not here, its at the palace. What both of you are saying is making sense. Draco, what is a different dog went to keep watch at the palace? Just outside far enough that if all does not go well, they could easily escape. The rebels will be torn to pieces without you Draco, we need you. Maybe you could lead the attack on the guards that Knight was talking about, if that's okay with everyone...."She trailed off.
What exactly was she thinking? It wasn't her place to start throwing out ideas for a plan as important as this on. Oh well, she never had been exactly meek to begin with. 'bad' she scolded herself.

Knight nodded a little to Ryiah's idea. He knew that Draco was trying to be cautious and didn't want to lose this part of the battle. "I agree with Ryiah, Zane is our double agent at the palace. He is the one that is going to help me get Aspen out of the jail cell and out of the palace. He will be there and will be able to follow us as far as he can and he will also be able to keep look out and make sure we have a big head start before the other guards notice that Aspen is gone. He can be the look out and help us. That way he won't get caught and can also get word to you all if the guards begin searching for Aspen." He replied, liking the idea better and better as he thought about it. His black and white spotted paws kept shifting back and forth as he got more and more excited about the mission. He wanted to get it started already instead of standing around talking about everything that could go wrong. Things would probably go wrong and not according to plan but they would be alright.

Draco nodded. "I see what you are saying. I would feel more comfortable if you maybe had Ryiah go and keep watch and report to me, because Zane will most likely not be able to leave the palace, and we don't want to arose suspicions. But, if you don't want to, I would understand. It would just make me feel more comfortable."Draco looked at Knight, his expression unchanging. He cared for everyone in the rebels, and Knight was right, it would be stupid to go. The rebels did need him. This was not his mission, it was Knight's. Knight needed to make the decisions, not him. He could only offer suggestions.

Knight nodded as he listened to Draco persist some more and say once again that he wanted Knight to take another dog with him. But he wouldn't need another dog. He had gone over his plan many many times in his head and he knew every place they would stop to rest, every place they would stop to eat and every place they would go to avoid the guards that would be searching for her. "With all do respect Draco, I wish to go alone. I know what I am doing and I fear that another dog coming along will only slow down our pace. Please, I know what I am doing." Knight replied, dipping his head a little to show that he was not trying to be disrespectful. Knight could be quite stubborn when it came to things like this. He liked to do things his own way and when he had his mind set on something, that was how it would work, there would be no changing his mind. Knight turned to Ryiah, his light blue eyes filled with apology. "Please don't take this personally Ryiah, it is nothing against you, I just prefer to work alone." He replied, giving her a small smile before turning his gaze back to Draco. Knight didn't like leaving others behind because he himself didn't like being left behind but for this particular mission, he felt that it would be best fulfilled with as little company as possible.

Destiny was sitting off to the side, quietly listening to the dogs argue. She rolled her eyes. Males. Suddenly a thought struck her and she rose to her feet. "Pardon me for interuppting," she appoligized, turning to Draco, "But surely everyone here realizes that once we have Aspen, Agro will not rest until she is found. He will send every single one of his guards out...not just to the village but to the cliffs, the beach, everywhere. Those who are in hiding outside the village won't be expecting anything. They'll be blindsided and killed! I know that we are saving many more lives by saving Aspen, but isn't there anything we can do to minimize the bloodshed that we're going to cause?" Destiny dipped her head in sorrow, knowing that dogs would die no matter what they did. Hiding everyone here was certainly not an option. The cave was roomy enough for the rebels, but that was all. Besides, how would they truly know who was on their side?

Draco dismissed Knight with a gesture of his head, and turned to Destiny, he problem was far more serious, and she had a point. Rather than arguing with Knight, he should be working on a plan to reduce the number of deaths. "Destiny, I had forgot all about that; Thank you for reminding me. I think we should try to warn some dogs. If you wish, you could take Ryiah and go warn dogs, or you could split up, which ever you would perfer. Also, you'd have to make sure the dogs you are trying to warn are light, otherwise you would get into trouble. Do you have a plan or ideas about how to go about this?"Draco asked. He felt stupid for not thinking of the innocent dogs before hand. He was embarassed that Destiny had to bring it to his attention.

Destiny thought for a moment. No, she hadn't really thought of a plan yet, but she might as well come up with something. "Well," she began, "It's a difficult task. First off you don't know which dogs are light and which are dark without asking. When you ask allegiences, strangers automatically become suspicious of you. So I'm not sure how we would go about this. Perhaps Ryiah will have some suggestions. Then there is the question about whether or not to split up. Once again you meet the light versus dark delima. If you are attempting to speak with someone light, they're more likely to trust someone who is alone rather than in pairs. Then again, if you are speaking with a dark and slip up, you would want someone there to help you fight them off." Destiny shook out her coat. There wasn't really any optimal way of going about this, but she felt it needed to be done.

Knight smiled to himself as he finally was victorious and able to talk Draco into letting him go on his own on the mission. He would have all the help he needed from Zane and if anything happened, he could handle it. He sat down and listened intently to the conversation at hand. It would be a tricky task to alert as many light allianced dogs as possible that they needed to be prepared for the guards to invade their borders. As he listened to their questioning ideas, an idea of his own struck him. Knight rose to his paws, and shifted his bright blue eyes to Draco and Destiny. "I have an idea. Every light dog knows other light dogs, right? And we all know lots of light dogs so all we have to do is tell the light allianced dogs we know and then have them tell the light allianced dogs they know, and so on and so on. Then by the time all of the light dogs have told their light friends, almost all of them will have recieved the message without putting our agents in immediate danger." Knight explained, thinking the plan through as he said it.

Destiny listened thoughtfully to Knights plan. "It could work," she nodded slowly. She quickly made a list in her head of dogs she should warn and began formultaing a plan to quickly and effectively begin the chain. Based on the amount on the lack of light in the cave, Destiny assumed that the sun must have set by now. That meant the guards would have finally left the village and that it's residence were safe. At least until morning...
"Ryiah, why don't you head to the village and warn any light dogs you know of there or happen to come across. I'll head up to the cliffs and see if anyone is in hiding there," Destiny paused and turned to Draco, "That is, of course, if that sounds alright to you, Draco."

Draco nodded. That's an excellent plan. Destiny, Ryiah, you are free to go into the village and start warning dogs. Move quickly, but make sure you're thorough. Every light dog should know to be hidden. If you want, you don't have to tell them exactly what we're planning, because if one of them gets caught, they might exchange the information for their lives."Draco warned Destiny. Then after a few seconds of thought, he turned back to Knight. "I would still feel more comfortable if you agreed to have a lookout. They wouldn't be with you, they would just be looking out for you from the cliffs or somewhere. Also, that way, we don't have to wait around and worry. We will know before you arrive if your mission was successful or not.Draco spoke, in a final effort to convince Knight to take someone else with him.

Knight felt frustration once again bubbling up inside him. Why couldn't Draco understand that this was one mission Knight needed to handle on his own! Besides, they wouldn't be able to be seen for very long, especially once they made it around to the other side of the deep jungle. "Draco please, Zane will be looking out for us. I don't need help, more dogs will only draw more attention to us and we will be hidden most of the time anyways so the lookout won't even be able to see us." Knight replied, somewhat firmly though not losing sight of the fact that Draco was superior to Knight. Knight's light blue gaze burned into Draco, his eyes pleading him to understanding and to trust him with this mission. It seemed clear that the rebel leader didn't trust Knight. Because if he did he wouldn't keep pestering him to bring along more company. The thought almost infuriated Knight. What reason would he have for not being loyal to the rebels? He wasn't going to betray them so Draco had no reason not to trust Knight.

Draco let a growl escape and shook his head. He apparantly wasn't getting through to Knight, and he probably never would. "Very well. But Zane will not be able to leave the castle. If he left, it'd blow his cover."Draco mumbled. He was a little frusturated that Knight had kept arguing with him, but he could see Knight did not want someone else to go. But what Draco didn't get was why he didn't want a lookout. It wasn't that Draco thought Knight couldn't do it, it was that Draco thought someone should just be watching out for Knight, is all.
