Way, way out in the pacific ocean there lies a single island. It is assumed that the humans attempted to conlonize the island many years before but failed. They left behind the single village that they had built as well as a small handful of canines. These dogs adapted to the environment in their new home quickly. They were very intellegent. At first there were many battles as sects of dogs struggled to gain power. In the end, a dog called Alastair brought the island together under his peaceful rule. His decendents ruled the island for generations upon generations in peace and prosperity. Of course there was the occasionaly crazed king that led the island into war, but it never lasted long.
Apollo was the current king. He ruled with a kind paw, much like his father before him. Apollo had a younger brother named Agro. Agro loathed his brother for being the next in line to the throne. He wanted that title and the power that came with it. He hatched a devious plot to slay Apollo and claim the throne for himself. It would take time, patience, and meticulous planning. Nothing could go wrong. Unfortunatley, he hit a bump in the rode when Apollo's mate gave birth to a litter of pups. Three squirrming parasites that stood between Agro and the crown. He was able to discretley dispose of two of them, and their mother, shortly after birth. The third, a female called Aspen, was lucky.
Aspen was always under the careful watch of her attendents. She grew to be a strong and independent young dog. Agro began to grow tired of waiting. He wanted power now. He knew that once he killed either Apollo or Aspen that he would be exposed as a traitor. He needed to take out Apollo first. He watched and waited until the king was alone before he ambushed his brother. Apollo hadn't suspected an attack. It was an easy kill. Aspen was not so easy to take care of. She witnessed the murder and quickly fled. Agro sent his guards to find her and slay any supporters of Apollo that remained in the palace.
Aspen knew she had to save her island from her uncle. She was making her way towards the deep jungle when the guards spotted her. The surrounded her and returned her to the palace, locking her away in the prison. While Agro declared himself king and planned a public execution of Aspen, a few of the citizens made their way into the deep jungle and set up a rebel camp. As they gather supporters and strength, a war is brewing on the island. As you begin your journey, you must know that you may eventually be forced to choose an alligience. Whether you join Agro and his fellow traitors, sneak into the jungle to join the rebels, or remain in the villiage, the biggest question is...will you survive the night?
