Rajah's muscles were growing stiff and tired of sitting like a statue at his post for hours. He only stiffened more and thought to himself, 'The fiercest dogs remain still and disciplined no matter what, even if they feel they will die from their stiff muscles giving way and deteriorating..'. While the rest of the guards where off on the thrilling search for Aspen, he was stuck in the palace to guard his majesty; you would think the Rebels would have planned an attack on the palace when there are so few guards, 'But apparently they are too weak minded to think of such a plan..' he thought to himself and smiled. Agro had specificly wanted Rajah to be the dog to guard him in his slumber if the others were to go and search. Rajah knew it was because his loyalty was never questioned, he did whatever his king had asked of him and he took hardly no time in doing it, he had become one of Agro's right-hand guards. Rajah blinked the sleep away from his eyes and forced them to stay open, he never disappointed Agro and he would not start now. Agro was only meters away, peacefully sleeping away the hours, 'Probably having good dreams of taking over the island and killing all his enemies.' Rajah suggested to himself. Every so often, Rajah would prick his ears and listen forever to the tiniest sounds, until he was certain there were no threats. Rajah was one of the fiercest German Shepherds any dog had ever seen, upon meeting him for the first time most dogs would feel uneasy, and weary of him; well of course they should be. Rajah normally demanded respect, he was a canine to be given respect to, he had respect for his fellow guards, except the ones he thought appeared to be weak, and he was not one to be pushed around. He had many battle scars but he has never lost, obviously. The palace had fallen quiet in the absence of the guards, and he almost wished he could be given something to do. But for now he would have to wait for Agro to awaken.

Roscoe strolled back through the palace, he had heard the howl while he was on his way back to the palace but he hadn't bothered to turn back around and head back towards where he had just come from. The other guards could take care of it. He had a traitor to deal with. He had just recently recieved news that Zane had been found in the palace again and Roscoe was certain that Zane was the guard that had helped let Aspen out of the dungeon. He was planning on having a few words with him. But first, Roscoe wanted to leave word that the princess had been spotted. That was where all the guards were headed right now. And as much as Roscoe wanted to be one of the dogs that got to help bring her in, he would let Roxas do it this time. Roscoe strolled purposefully down the hall that led to the King's sleeping chambers. He immediately saw Rajah sitting on guard outside the King's door. That was no surprise. Rajah usually stood guard while the King slept. Roscoe dipped his head to Rajah in greeting before glancing down the hall behind him and then look back at Rajah. "Will you let King Agro know that Aspen has been spotted and there are guards in pursuit now, whenever he wakes up that is." Roscoe said softly, a smile gracing his face. Roscoe liked Rajah. Which was quite a big deal because there weren't many dogs in the palace, or anywhere for that matter that Roscoe actually liked. Some of them he just pretended to like while others he didn't even pretend, he just flat out told them he didn't like them. But Roxas and Rajah, Roscoe liked both of them.

Rajah stood and pricked his ears at the sound of another dog. He bared his teeth and was ready to spring into an attack, when he caught Roscoe's scent and relaxed when Roscoe stepped out from the darkness.Rajah shook the sleepiness from his body. when Roscoe approached and nodded a respectful greeting in return. A sly smile spread across his face at Roscoe's remark of Agro; he nearly laughed but choked it down to not awaken the King. 'Any sings or suspicions of the traitorous guard who helped Aspen escape?' he nearly growled at the words in his throat and his tail twitched in agitation at the memory of being told the princess had escaped. He hated traitors. And especially traitors to the Dark King. He could see however that Roscoe was no traitor, he was one to be feared just as Roxas and himself; he found deep respect for them as well. 'If you ask me,' he began, 'Agro should have killed the mutt when he had the chance; but I suppose he had better plans.' He wasn't one to question the king.

Roscoe sat down in front of Rajah and nodded his head in agreement to his last statement. "I agree with you there, if Agro would have killed her in the beginning instead of dragging it out, we might not be chasing her around the entire island right now!" He snapped, anger rising at the thought of running after this one stupid dog that had slipped through their claws. "But Agro has a plan. And we must follow it." He added, his voice calm once more. He raised his gaze from where he had been staring off into space to look at Rajah again. "We are almost positive that Zane was the one who let her out. He was the one on guard during the time she escaped and he hasn't been seen around lately. I am going to go. . . take care of him." Roscoe explained, an evil grin sliding across his face as he thought of the right words to say. His dark red brown gaze looked at Rajah's, he raised his head a little, knowing that Rajah would know what he meant.

Rajah agreed with what Roscoe had said, his blue eyes locked on the muscular dog. He smiled deviously at Roscoe's remark of 'taking care' of Zane and evil pleasure ran through his veins. But then his mind back tracked to what Roscoe had said previously, his prediction of Zane. Rajah's ears pricked up, more intrested now, his brows knitted together. 'I wouldn't be so sure as to suspect Zane yet..' his voice trailed off in thinking, his voice gave nothing away. 'I would recalculate the number of dogs in your search parties, Roscoe. I haven't seen Knight around here in days, either.' Rajah's voice began to turn towards anger and frustration. He couldn't recall the last time he had seen either of the dogs, and everyone else seemed to be accounted for. 'Do you know if it was just one dog who helped her escape?' he asked trying to figure this information out. His entire body tingled from his tails right down to his toes, how he would love to get his paws on a traitor.

Roscoe nodded his head slowly as he thougth about what Rajah had just said. It did make sense that Knight could be involved in Aspen escaping, he hadn't been seen around lately either. "Wasn't Knight a servant? Would he have even had access to the dungeon? I know that Zane had the chance to do it. . ." He replied, thinking out loud. He had a tendency of doing that a lot. He very rarely thought about what he was going to say before he said it.

Rajah tilted his head at Roscoe and took in what he said, this was true but they could never really be too careful. 'I don't much keep up with the worthless servants, so I wouldn't know.' he replied in a disguted tone but smiling at Roscoe, his face portrayed that he thought the guards where the only dogs really worth any thing around here besides the King. He shrugged and sighed, sitting back on his haunches. 'But I have seen all of the other servants around,' Rajah continued, 'But Knight I haven't seen in quite some time. It is possible he thought he could fool everyone because he is not a guard, and the traitor really could be anyone.'

Roscoe nodded thoughtfully. He smiled at Rajah comment. Roscoe wasn't one who thought much about the servants. The guards were far more important than anyone, besides Agro of course. The servants usually went unnoticed which would make them easy to overlook. "That's true. . . I never thought about that." Roscoe replied, looking over at the wall as his thoughts still wandered. He finally gathered his attention once more before turning his head back to face Rajah. "Well I guess I will go see who needs taken care of. Be sure to give the king my message." He replied as he rose to his paws and prepared to leave. But just as he was about to leave, he turned back to face Rajah. "Do you ever get tired of just standing guard all the time?" He asked, his voice low as he knew if the king heard him say that he could be in trouble.

Rajah stood again also, his muscles aching to go with Roscoe and run around for a bit. He glanced up at the other dog. "Do you ever get tired of just standing guard all the time?" He was surprised by Roscoe's question but replied keeping his voice low, "Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I know I am needed here to guard the King while everyone else is on the search, without me there wouldn't be anyone guarding him so I feel proud in a way, but yet there is always the time when I wish I could join in on the search, like now, if Agro would wake up.." Rajah's voice trailed off and his tail drooped slightly at the wish of wanting to stretch his tired muscles and join the search. But he was needed here until Agro awoke or dismissed him. Rajah sighed and sat back again, "I'll be sure to give the King your message."

Roscoe smiled a little at Rajah's response and dipped his head to the loyal guard. He was glad that they had dogs like Rajah that were disciplined enough to be able to sit guard for hours on end while their mighty king slept. "Thank you. And for your sake, I hope the king wakes up soon." He added, grinning a playfully grin before he turned once more to leave. ooc: Sorry that one was so short, I have to go start a new thread for Roscoe though.

ooc: it's fine Swifty. I've been having writers block lately anyways Rajah dipped his head respectfully towards Roscoe as well, and called after him, "Keep me informed, will you?" a smile plastered across his face. and then Rajah turned back and focused his attention back on his duties.
